CSR organized the workshop “The dangers of propaganda and disinformation in today’s world”

Today we held the workshop titled “The dangers of propaganda and disinformation in today’s world”. The event was organized in cooperation with the Sweden Alumni Network Western Balkans, and supported by the Swedish Institute.

The workshop brought together a significant number of participants, who took active part in the discussion, and who were representatives of foreign diplomatic missions, international organizations, other NGO’s, media, academia and representatives from other Swedish Alumni Networks, which gave the workshop an international signature.

The CSR marked this important milestone by organizing an Annual Convention, which was attended by representatives from the security and defense sector, domestic and international public, including directors, mayors, members of parliament, NGO representatives and experts. During the first session of the new joint security program between CSR and the Institute for Strategic and Defense Studies under the supervision of the Ministry of Defense of Hungary, we discussed the process of radicalization in the Western Balkans and we outlined a road map towards creating a new and reliable DDRR programs designed specifically to address RFTF issue in Western Balkans, contributing to European and International security.

The Center for security research organized a Discussion on European challenges and threats, which focuses on the most relevant and most credible threats to security. The lecturers icluded the Director of the CSR Aleksandar Nacev PhD, talked about the assymetric methods and techniques on foreign electoral interference, and m-r Rabiè W. Sédrâk, the special advisor for counter terrorism at the CSR, who talked about the terrorist threats, strategies and tactics through an analysis of lessons learned in the Middle East.

The event included guests from the foreign diplomatic missions accredited in Macedonia, representatives from international organizations, academics and colleagues from other research institutions from the country and the region of the Middle East.
